Simplicity In Mind 70's Shoot

The 70's seem to be the era to emulate, especially this fall! Initially I thought, oh, I am not a 70's girl but after researching inspiration prior to the Simplicity in Mind shoot, I changed my mind 100%!! Crazy colors and prints? Exaggerated silhouettes? Funky vibes all over? YES. YES. It me.

Oh the drama!! What?! It's the seventies!

This dress is nothing short of amazing. Cute tie front with gold details, you can wear this dress to and for any occasion! I feel like it would be so cute for the holidays as well as a wowza for a date night.

Outfit Details:

Dress, fall's IT hat from H&M, and these gold platform sandals that Will calls my clodhoppers :o from H&M (sold out but similar ones here!)

I was lucky enough to inherit a lot of my grandmothers jewelry and sunglasses, which was the perfect compliment to these new modernized pieces.

Outfit Details:

Dress, Sunglasses (vintage - my Grandma's!), Lace up boots (linked below)

These yellow sunnies are my new favorite unexpected accessory! Forever21 has the most funky shapes and colors in sunglasses and are always my go-to for something a little bit unusual.

My favorite outfit - shocking I know - the craziest one, made even more unique by leopard booties! I've had these leopard heels for so long! These were one of my first purchases with my own money when I was in high school. Yes, thats correct. High school. A staple I've kept in perfect condition and only wear when I'm feeling super spicy. And luckily, animal print never goes out of style when done right.

Outfit Details:

Top, Flare bottoms, Vince Camuto booties (similar here), Choker necklace, Sunglasses (linked above!)

Day dreaming of all the floral fields that the designers drew inspiration from to make this UNREAL dress! Longer length dresses are super in for fall and as a shortie, it makes me nervous, but this one is the perfect length, especially when paired with nude-ish mules. (hint, also big for fall!)

Outfit Details:

Dress , Slide in Mules from H&M, Gold hoop earrings from Madewell

When researching the 70's all the models looked broken, angry, or on some acid trip. So I channeled those thoughts and below is the outcome! Pretty good I think!!

It's always so fun to see the new fall patterns and I love the pieces that Rachel chose to curate her store with. This whole photoshoot basically gave me everything I needed for my fall closet, now it just needs to get lower on the temperature side I'll be all set!

Outfit details:

Dress, Boots from Target

Rachel, the owner of Simplicity in Mind is one of the hardest working people I know, and she styled, shot and edited all this pictures. A true boss lady! I'm in love with all of these pieces for not only their in-season look but also the fabrics - omg - luxury!
